National Domestic Violence Order Scheme commences


In the past, restraining orders that relate to family and domestic violence only applied in the state or territory in which they were issued or registered. This has changed. On 25 November 2017, the National Domestic Violence Order Scheme commenced.

Elder Abuse Helpline WA


The WA Government has officially launched the new Elder Abuse Helpline WA. The Helpline offers older people at risk of, or experiencing abuse an easy, independent and professional avenue to access support and assistance.

Domestic Violence Report Released


Attorney General Michael Mischin has welcomed the Law Reform Commission’s report on Enhancing Family and Domestic Violence Laws. Mr Mischin tabled the Commission’s final report in State Parliament today.

Victims of crime - Your Voice


Jennifer Hoffman Commissioner for Victims of Crime has released the inaugural edition of 'Your Voice" this week. Jennifer said it was very important that victims of crime, and organisations working with them and for them, had a communication medium to advise and share information about developments and initiatives related to victims of crime.
