Financial Counsellors' Association of WA
The Financial Counsellors Association of WA has been established and incorporated since 1985 as the peak body for Financial Counsellors.
Following a crime, victims may sometimes experience financial hardship.
Financial Counsellors offer a free service about dealing with financial problems to low income members of the community experiencing financial hardship.
Financial Information Service
The Financial Information Service (FIS) is an education and information service available to the community.
It helps people make informed decisions about investment and financial issues for their current and future needs.
FIS Officers are not financial planners or financial counsellors. Please see the FIS factsheet from the Centrelink website for more information on how FIS can help people:
Social workers
Centrelink Social Workers provide counselling and support to Centrelink customers with difficult, personal or family issues.
They can also provide information about, or refer people to community support services. Visit the Centrelink website for more information on Social Work Services.
